GAVIN JAMES

Twenty two year old Dubliner singer songwriter, Gavin James kicked off 2014 with two No.1 EP’s in Ireland followed by winning the Irish Choice Music Prize Award for “Song Of The Year.” His rise and development in his home market, has gained him sell-out headline dates across Ireland and support tours with acts such as Marina & the Diamonds, Ingrid Michaelson, Kodaline, Lianne La Havas and in March of this year with James Blunt on his sold-out stadium tour across Europe. Gavin’s talent comes from his mother’s side of the family. His great, grandparents were both famous Irish opera singers and had their own album released in the early 1900’s. Gavin began to play guitar at age eight. After leaving school, James gigged around Dublin’s Temple Bar and quickly began getting himself heard. While working on his live technique, his confidence was growing also, which led to early support from A&R Worldwide back in 2012 and he ultimately signed his U.K. record deal and a few weeks ago publishing with Good Soldier Songs.

MIAMIGO

Brighton, the city best known for giving the world Fatboy Slim and more recently the buzz rock act Royal Blood is now sharing their latest musical gem, Miamigo. The duo, consisting of members Liam and Jamie, has labeled their style of music as “Dark Pop” and the proof is in the pudding with their debut single “Opinions.” The track, layered with synths, massive hooks and intelligent songwriting, would fit perfectly in today’s mix of bands that are bringing back the 80s sound with a modern twist, a la Chvrches, St. Lucia and Panama while possessing the same commercial potential of Bastille and The 1975. There is a major online and A&R buzz on the band and it’s only a matter of time before their international breakthrough. The band is currently writing and recording new material for their debut album – a global deal is imminent!
