THE BLUE VAN

Denmark’s The Blue Van consists of Steffen Westmark (vocals and guitar), Søren Christensen (keyboard, vocals and guitar), Allan Villadsen (bass) and Per Jørgensen (drums and vocals). The quartet started at the young age of 12 when the members were inspired after hearing Jimi Hendrix for the first time in a TV commercial. The Blue Van have seen over 65 music placements, including music featured in the films and trailers of The First Time, Magic Mike, American Reunion, The Boys Are Back, Fright Night and That’s My Boy. The Blue Van has also seen their music placed in a variety of Television shows including Dallas, Hellcats, NCIS, CSI, 90210, Entourage, Hard Times of RJ Berger, Lie To Me, Shameless, Revenge, Body of Proof and Private Practice. Companies such as Samsung, T-Mobile and Red Lobster have made use of their music and the band’s track “There Goes My Love” was featured in the commercial for the initial launch of the Apple iPad. The Blue Van are also two-time BMI TV Music Award winners in 2010 and 2012 for their track “Independence,” which was named the Best TV Theme Song for the show Royal Pains. After releasing five albums to date, they’ve decided this time around to leave the traditional, and the safe, album format behind, in order to release only singles. “Illusion,” The Blue Van’s latest single in a string of ten, is about the point in life when you find “the one” and the anticipation of the life you’ve created together.

THESE REIGNING DAYS

These Reigning Days is made up of three experienced musicians that include Dan Steer (lead vocals), Joe Sansome (drums) and Jonny Finnis (bass/vocals). The trio have now firmly established themselves on the musical landscape as a formidable and impressive live band with strong songwriting skills. They’re one of the most promising unsigned U.K. rock bands with global potential to emerge in recent years since Coldplay, Muse, Keane and Radiohead. The forthcoming album, Opera of Love, produced by Yoad Nevo (Air, Morcheeba, Goldfrapp), was remixed by Grammy Award winner Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters) and is expected to be released on September 21st. These Reigning Days are no strangers to the road, either; they’ve supported Bon Jovi in Milan, Italy at the San Siro stadium in front of 80,000 screaming fans (and had a No.1 rock single on the Italian charts) and they performed at the main stage of 2013’s Polish Woodstock. They just performed at the V-ROX Festival in Vladivostok, Russia a couple of weeks ago and are gigging throughout Europe for the next couple of months as well as preparing for major city tour dates in India with MTV and VH1 India. The band recently garnered support on XFM UK as well as early support on key influential U.S., German and Australian radio stations.

THE LULU RAES

The Lulu Raes are a four-piece outfit from Sydney, Australia comprised of members Eddie, Raras, Marcus and Tom, who combine their love of pop, Motown harmonies, and catchy weirdness to create their own danceable and infectious brand of indie/pop/rock. Having written with Sticky Fingers and influenced by The Strokes, The Flaming Lips and The Pixies, they have a sound that is best described part Talking Heads and part now-defunct Brisbane Indie quartet Yves Klein Blue. The Lulu Raes invite you to join them on their journey to your hearts with their single “The Way Life Runs,” which has been receiving extensive support on the global tastemaker radio show Passport Approved. The track, which has been compared to the likes of Phoenix, is a lively indie track complete with a chipper hook.

JODEE

Jodee is a singer/songwriter who comes from the rural environs of a small town in Pennsylvania, the same state that has produced a number of other successful female artists, namely P!nk, Christina Perri and Vanessa Carlton. Utilizing everything from traditional hymns and vintage records, to playful harmonies and made-up material, making music quickly became a passion for Jodee. She now resides in an artistic community of fellow singer/songwriters and performs regularly in both Los Angeles and Manhattan, earning comparisons to Dido, Sia, Lissie and Norah Jones. Jodee has been hard at work putting together her latest EP, After The Hurricane, which showcases her smoky tones and impassioned vocal abilities. The title track is an up-tempo number with lyrical references to one of the greatest films of all time, The Wizard of Oz.

MICHAEL SCHULTE

image

Born and raised in Germany, music has always been a priority in Michael Schulte’s life. When he was a young child, he would always be singing and constantly serenading his family with his early vocal skills. After teaching himself to play the guitar when he was 16, he began to cover popular songs and uploaded them to YouTube. Since 2006, the number of fans increased, reaching the millions, and the response was overwhelmingly positive; his cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” gathered over 4.5 million views. Michael’s debut album, Wide Awake, was released in 2012, and immediately earned him a No.1 in the Germany Newcomer Charts. Michael has returned with his sophomore album, The Arising, which turned the small stories of his everyday life into brilliant songs. With the new album, the 24 year-old is giving honest music straight from the mind of a mature artist; music that will not only touch you, but grip you, that doesn’t just move you, but will send you on a journey.

STICKY FINGERS

One summers night some years ago, Dylan Frost (vocals/guitar) was finishing up a night of busking when Paddy Cornwall (bass/vocals) walked past and the two struck up a conversation. Bonding over mutual hobbies, the lads added Seamus Coyle (lead guitar), Freddy Crabs (keys/synth) and Beaker Best (drums/percussion) to form Sticky Fingers. Musically, they describe their sound as a melting pot of reggae, psych, pop and bourbon, with comparisons to The Clash, Pink Floyd and Arctic Monkeys. The Sydney quintet released their debut album, Caress Your Soul, in March of 2013 that resulted in multiple charting singles and a spot on the Triple J Hottest 100. The album produced three singles that reached high rotation on national Australian radio where the song “Caress Your Soul’ peaked at No.17 on the ARIA single charts. Tickets to see Sticky Fingers sold just as fast as the album did, nearly selling-out every venue that they performed at; playing 32 dates in 40 days in Holland, UK and France on their European tour. Their sophomore album, Land of Pleasure, was just released on August 1st containing the single “Just For You,” which packs a massive, must-listen chorus. Sticky Fingers is promoting the album by touring Australia throughout September and October.
